1 v 1 Grudge Match General RulesI. Pregame Settings
Party Options:
- The match has to take place in a "Private party"
-or-
- If both opponents agree in a public party with activated "Closed Game" option. (This allows for spectators. These will cause additional network traffic though what might lead to a slight decrease in performance.)
- All MAVs are allowed default or custom built. Chosen per round. You do not have to disclose what you are using.
Teams:
- Have to be set to "Auto".
- Both opponents have to announce that they are ready in the party chat (or via Ventrilo) before the round gets started by the host. They also have to set their state to "Ready". Possible spectators do not set their state to "Ready".
II. Hosting and Scoring
- The general hosting procedure is "Home/Away" hosting. Both opponents host themselves in alternating order. The challenged player starts hosting the challenger hosts the second round and so on. If both opponents agree a "neutral server" is also possible.
- The player that is not hosting is allowed to choose the map for this round. (Arena Pressure Cooker Pressure Fault Coastal Flood Hypothermia)
- The first player to win 3 rounds wins the match.
- A round is won by the player that is left standing.
- If the Time Limit (10 Minutes) should be reached or both players get killed before the round ends (for example as a result of a successful suicide attack) the round ends in a draw. None of the players wins.
- In the case of a draw a new round starts (the host changes a new map and new MAVs can be chosen) just as if a round ended in a win for one of the players.
III. Additional Rules and Clarifications
- Repairing during a round is strictly forbidden! (This affects all maps.) Doing so will make you lose the whole match.
- Entering a closed repairbay (Arena Pressure Cooker Pressure Fault) during a round is strictly forbidden! Doing so will make you lose the round.
- Suiciding during a round to change your MAV will make you lose the round. So make sure that you have chosen the right one before you announce that you are ready.
- Deaths caused by neutral mines (Coastal Flood) base turrets (Coastal Flood Hypothermia) or natural hazards (falling lava) are still deaths. Last man standing wins.
- You should join the official Lore IRC channel before your match and are free to use the official Lore Ventrilo channel to communicate with your opponent before or even during the game.
- Manipulation of match results intentionally disconnecting during a match or any other form of cheating and unfair behaviour will lead to severe penalties. Play fair and have fun!
